runoff through pipes into stream

Isn't trash the largest pollution problem in the Bay today?

No, trash is not the biggest problem although it really is ugly. Trash is one form of pollution that we can control by putting litter where it belongs. The biggest threat to the Bay is excess amounts of nutrients, specifically nitrogen and phosphorus. These nutrients come primarily from animal waste (including human waste), from fertilizers on crops and on lawns, and from the air.
