Regulation Requests for 2013
- Magothy River Narrows
– The Department of Natural Resources has received a request to change the
current 6-knot (6.9 MPH) speed limit for Saturdays, Sundays and State
holidays to All Times during the Boating Season which is April 15 through
October 15. This request was made on behalf of boating safety and prevention
of further shoreline erosion.

Bodkin Creek at Ventnor Marina and
Hammock Marina – The Department of Natural Resources has
received a request to change the current 6-knot (6.9 MPH) speed limit for
Saturdays, Sundays and State holidays to All Times beginning at Spit Point
at the Red #12 extending west just past Ventnor Marina at Graveyard Point.
This request was made on behalf of boating safety.
- Marsh Islands, North East
of the entrance to Ocean Pines Yacht Club – The Department of
Natural Resources has received a request to Establish a Prohibited Zone for
boating activities between and immediately around these islands. This
request was made on behalf of boating safety and prevention of further
shoreline erosion.
