Fort Frederick State Park Manager Wins National Photo Contest
Angie Hummer, park manager at Fort Frederick State Park, was selected as the winner of the National Park Services’ 2006 National Historic Landmark Photo Contest for her stop action photo of "Margie," the Civil War cannon housed at South Mountain Recreation Area. The photo captures the cannon being fired by crew members under the command of Al Preston, assistant park manager at South Mountain Recreation Area, in celebration of Fort Frederick’s 250th anniversary.
