DNR Releases Worcester County Sea Level Rise Inundation Model Technical Report
DNR has released the Worcester County Sea Level Rise Inundation Model Technical Report. The Report provides a broad overview and detailed methodology for the cooperative sea level rise modeling project conducted by DNR, the U.S. Geological Survey and Worcester County. The Model is a powerful tool that uses current, highly accurate data sets to visually depict the impact of rising sea level and storm flooding along Worcester County’s shoreline over the next 100 years. The Model is being used by state and county planners and emergency responders as they plan for a coastal region faced with a high likelihood of damaging coastal storms and a rising sea level.
