Maryland Natural Resources Police Blotter
Allegany County – On Thursday, December 14, at 9:45 a.m. NRP charged Jason Frederick Davis, 33, and Chad Lincoln Cornett, 24, both of Cumberland with hunting on private property without written permission in the area of Rosemount Ave. in Cumberland. An NRP K-9 unit responded to the area after receiving a report of possible illegal hunting activity. NRP located a pickup truck in the area but did not have a direction of travel for Davis and Cornett. NRP K-9 “Blu” and his handler picked up a scent from the truck and tracked the two. Blu located Davis and Cornett approximately 150 yards in the woods in tree stands.

NRP reminds hunters and landowners that it is unlawful to hunt on private lands in all counties without written permission of the landowner or the landowner’s lessee.
