Garrett County - On October 26, 2009, the Maryland Natural Resources
Police (NRP) charged Marvin Ray Sines, 44, of Friendsville MD with hunting bear
with the aid of Bait. Sines was hunting in the White Rock area of Garrett
Washington County - On October 31, 2009, the Maryland Natural Resources Police (NRP) charged Derrick Lamar Eby, 19, of Clear Spring with hunting deer during closed season. Eby killed a whitetail deer with a shotgun while floating on the Conococheague Creek.
Washington County- On November 10, 2009, the Maryland Natural Resources Police (NRP) charged Joshua Daniel Reed, 18, of Hancock, MD with shooting from a roadway, loaded weapon in a vehicle, and fleeing and eluding a police officer. NRP officers observed a 2004 Chevrolet Impala stop in the roadway and fire a shot. When NRP officers attempted to stop the vehicle, Reed drove away at a high rate of speed and refused to stop. Reed drove for 17 miles before being stopped by a Maryland State Police in Allegany, County.
Garrett County - On November 11, 2009, the Maryland Natural Resources Police (NRP) charged David William Crow, 42, of Cumberland, Randall Curry Crews, 47, and David Andrew Topper, 35, both of Frostburg with hunting deer closed season, hunting deer at night, and casting rays of light with a weapon in possession. Crow was also charged with shooting from the roadway and loaded weapon in a vehicle.
Garrett County - On November 11, 2009 the Maryland Natural Resources Police (NRP) charged Jonathan Douglas George,18, and Jesse Alexander Lease,22, both of Barton, MD with casting rays of light with a weapon in possession, hunting deer during closed season, and hunting deer at nighttime.
Garrett County- On November 13, 2009 the Maryland Natural Resources Police (NRP) charged Donald Alan Kooken, 27, of Swantan, MD, Alyssa Rhita Miller, 20, and Ashby James Reeves, 19, both of Keyser, WV with casting rays of light with a weapon in possession, hunting deer closed season, and hunting deer at night. Reeves was also charged with loaded weapon in a vehicle, and underage possession of an alcoholic beverage. Kooken was also charged with possession of an open container of an alcoholic beverage in a vehicle.
Worcester County- On November 18, 2009 at 9:00 pm., the Maryland Natural Resources Police charged Ricky Tull Holland, age 49, of Pocomoke, Md with casting rays of artificial light with a weapon in possession and loaded firearm in a vehicle. This incident occurred on Dunn Swamp Road. A .243 cal rifle was seized. A court date has been set for January 15, 2010.
