TrainingCalendar Forms “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed it is the only thing that ever has.”
Margaret Mead
TEAM volunteers and their work are an inspiration to us all. Each trained volunteer delivers quality, hands-on presentations to students around the state. They come from diverse backgrounds, but all share a strong desire to give something back to Maryland students. Their efforts are helping to shape a new stewardship ethic among our young people.
Each volunteer attends an extensive training session. Training sessions cover our core programs and other environmental topics. Many sessions have a field component in which volunteers receive practical, hands-on experience. Volunteers will work in pairs in the classroom, and new volunteers are in training with experienced volunteers until they feel ready to teach on their own.
