My mom told me "the first thing your grandfather said when we told him they were having a baby (his first grandchild) was 'I can't wait to take him or her fishing!'" We are fishing buddies now. PopPop was packing things up to leave the pond and I caught this bluegill. What a surprise when he came running back to see what I hauled in - the biggest bluegill he had ever seen. It was a very memorable day for the two of us and for my family back home who kept getting phone calls about the status of our fun.

Emily Gray qualified for the Maryland Fishing Challenge by catching a fish that meets the minimum size requirements. By taking a qualifying fish to an Official Citation Award Center, Emily Gray received a ticket and registered the catch on our website to be invited to the Grand Finale at Sandy Point State Park on September 10, 2011. Emily Gray will have a chance to win one of many great prizes. Emily Gray will also be rewarded with an Official Citation Award in the mail.
