Slow Fishing on the Upper Potomac

What a difference a week can make. Pat O’toole landed a few quality smallmouth this week above Dam 4, but the bass numbers were way down. No buzz bait bite to speak of and not much on the drop shot. Pat’s tiny baits yielded a load of bluegills with the occasional smallie jumping on board. So, very similar conditions with substantially different results. That is fishing.
