Freshwater Report from Black Hill
Type: Freshwater
Region: Central
Location: Black Hill
Since the river bite had been rather slow for a few outings, Pat O’Toole and I ventured down to Black Hill this past Friday. It was a very nice day to fish the lake, good cloud cover and not too much wind. Once again, the bite was a bit slow, however, we did land a few quality largemouth including two over 17 inches. The surprise of the day were the yellow perch. I have fished that lake since before it opened and do not recall catching yellow perch. It is good to see them in there.
