Loch Raven Pickerel

On the afternoon of 12-12-12 I cast along the shoreline of Loch Raven with a white Joe's Fly. I caught this first 17-incher pickerel around 4:30. Just minutes later, I was hooked up again with what I thought must be the same fish! But the photo clearly shows a different pattern, and he was a tad shorter. By the time I released that fish, like clockwork the hot bite was over. It seems that pickerel only feed in a very small window right around dusk.
