Our Biggest Rock to Date

Type: Chesapeake
Region: Lower Bay
Location: Solomons Island

My brother George is holding a fish of a lifetime caught last Friday 12/14 east of Cedar Point in 47' of water. Fishing from Charlie's 25' Parker this biggest rockfish to date measured in at 44" and 35 lbs. The big hit came on a trolled tandem rig of white Bloody Point parachutes with 9" white sassy shads. It was part of a double hookup at noontime with a 39" rockfish coming over the rail first, and until we could slow the boat down, all George could do was just hold on. My big contribution was netting the fish and taking pictures. I'm glad I was there.
