Take a Break and Go Fishing
Type: Freshwater
Region: Eastern
Location: Crouse Mill Dam on the Tuckahoe River
On Friday, February 22nd, I decided to take the last few minutes of sunlight on the drive home from work to see if I could catch some trout for dinner. My destination was Crouse Mill Dam located on the Tuckahoe River at the State Park. The area has been stocked a few times with trout for the past two weeks. I was able to catch one rainbow trout, and enjoyed it for dinner. While I was only able to fish for 15 minutes, the time outdoors helped refresh the soul after a long week at work. Find the nearest fishing spot along your commute to work and give it a try. I am sure your mental health will improve. For more information on MD DNR's trout stocking schedule go to: http://www.dnr.state.md.us/fisheries/stocking/index.asp.
