Finally Struck Rainbow Trout Gold

I ventured out to Savage Mill for the first time on Saturday to take my shot at the trout that were stocked on Thursday. I got there early and headed for my favorite hole. After a couple hours and only 3 fish on Power Bait I decided it was time to head home. On my way back up the trail I ran into another fisherman who stated I was the only one he had talked to that morning that had caught trout. I decided to stop at another hole on the way out since no one was there. Boy was I glad I stopped! I proceeded to catch over 20 trout in about a 45 minute span including two of these golden rainbow trout beauties. I had never caught one of these before so to catch two in one morning was extra special. All trout caught at the new hole were caught on a Trout Magnet. Thanks to DNR for stocking these fish and I will be sure to be out there the rest of the spring pursuing these fish hoping to catch one of the jumbos that are stocked.
