Local Freshwater Action
Location: Local Ponds
Just thought to drop a line with a few pics from recent November catches to the 10th of the month. Pond action remains good, despite 48 to 50 degree water temperatures, as bass, Bluegills, catfish and Hybrid Sunfish are all co-operative. Worms on 1/64th oz. jigs for the panfish and Rat-L-Traps for the bass. The big Hybrid Sunfish took whole garden worms on a drop-shot rig in 8-10 feet of water. Bass to 21 inches, Bluegills to 10.5 inches, Pumpkinseeds to 10 inches, hybrids to 12 inches and channel cats to 30 inches…all released.
Photos show trophy hybrid sunfish at 1 lb 7.5 oz and 1 lb. 9.5 oz., a 10-inch pumpkinseed sunfish at 14.5 oz. and a 21 inch largemouth…outstanding fish for November!
