Tags: recreationalThe Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) would like to clarify the rules and prizes for the Second Annual Snakehead Contest. There is no cash reward for catching and killing a snakehead. DNR will draw three names at random from the list of anglers entered to win a $200 gift certificate to Bass Pro Shops, a 2013 Maryland State Parks Pass or a 2013 Potomac River Fishing license provided by the Potomac River Fisheries Commission. This contest is only open to recreational anglers. To enter, anglers submit a photo of the snakehead they caught and killed to the Anglers Log at dnr.maryland.gov/fisheries/fishingreport/log.asp. Anglers do not need to bring their catch to a citation award center to win.
DNR will draw the winning names on November 30, 2012.
