Deer (bow, muzzleloader and shotgun).

Bow Season: Region B Bow Season dates only, (i.e., when hunters are restricted to archery equipment, see page 31). Self sign-in limited to 25 hunters per day.

Muzzleloader Season: Oct. 15-17, by lottery, DNR Managed Hunt Permit required (see page 42). Deer hunting lottery application on page 53.

Migratory Geese

Migratory goose hunting by lottery on certain dates only during the last split of the Migratory Canada Goose Season. DNR Managed Hunt Permit required.

Deer and goose lottery applications are available online at Managed Hunt Applications, or by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Wye Island NRMA, 632 Wye Island Rd., Queenstown, MD 21658.  410-827-7577. Note: Hunters are required to submit a copy of their 2009-2010 Maryland Hunting License along with their permit application.
