How To Apply
One Application: New applicants as well as those applicants requesting boundary line extensions can both use the same application.
Proposed New Rural Legacy Areas
First time applicants for proposed new Rural Legacy Areas should read the Grants Manual and contact the appropriate Program Administrator.
Grant Renewal Requests for Established Rural Legacy Areas with boundary line changes use the same application form.
From the Download page you can download the entire Rural Legacy Program Grants Manual in either Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat formats.
- Timing: Check out our Calendar to see what happens when, and some important dates to plan around.
- After the Board of Public Works approves the Application, the Rural Legacy Board, through the Department of Natural Resources Rural Legacy Program staff, will transmit a Grant Agreement to the Sponsor for approval.
