New Area Applicants
New Applications - Where to Begin
Groups that are interested in establishing a new Rural Legacy Area and sponsoring an application should read the Rural Legacy Program Grants Manual and meet with the appropriate RLP Project Manager to discuss the process.
Individual electronic forms for New Area Applications are available as the Appendix to the The Rural Area Program Grants Manual. To download the manual or a package of the new forms, go to the main download page. The full, standard application must be submitted for all proposed areas.
The same full, standard application must also be submitted for Grant Renewal Applications With Boundary Line Expansions over 25% of their original acreage.
