Launch Site Boat ramp located on Catoctin Hollow Road. Canoes can also be carried down to the lake from parking lots in the William Houck Area. Service charge in effect for William Houck Area and the boat ramp.

Other Points of Interest Early settlers used timber from the forests to make charcoal to fuel the Catoctin Iron Furnace. Too many years of clear-cutting and unscientific farming practices contributed to the overuse and destruction of the land.
