It is time to bring our Quest teams together to celebrate a summer of Questing in Maryland State Parks. The Maryland Park Service Staff with the help of our Sponsors have a great event planned. Teams will compete in seven competitions this year. There are six grand prizes including boats, camping gear and vacation packages. Many door prizes will be given away throughout the day. There will be a light breakfast on site with lunch provided by Bull on the Beach 94th Street in Ocean City.

There will be family activities to experience, hayrides, outdoor displays and Cat Country will be on hand with a live broadcast in the afternoon. Each team will receive a team bag that includes t-shirts for all team members, Park Quest Buffs and numerous other goodies. All registered teams will be eligible for door prize giveaways.

Finale Date: August 8, 2009

Place: Tuckahoe State Park – Cherry Lane Picnic Area (*)

Directions - Tuckahoe State Park is located approximately 35 miles east of the Bay Bridge, just off MD Rt. 404, on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Travel east on Rt. 50/301 across the Bay Bridge. Rt. 50/301 splits, bear to the right on Rt. 50. Make a left at the intersection of Rt. 50 and Rt. 404. Go approximately 8 miles until you come to the intersection of Rt. 404 and Rt. 480. Make a left on Rt. 480. To your immediate left take Eveland Road. Follow Eveland Road until it ends at Crouse Mill Road. Take a right onto Crouse Mill Road and a left on Cherry Lane. The campground entrance will be on your left.

Time: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Registration: 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with competitions running from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

What to Bring:

• The team's completed passport stamped by at least 8 parks
• All team members. At least one adult and one child will be required for each competition
• Bug Spray
• Sunblock
• Walking Shoes
• Raingear – we go rain or shine
• Team Pride – Show us who you are!!

YOU MUST RSVP by August 3 for the finale if you have completed the required minimum 8 Park Quests.

RSVP with your Team Name and Team Number via e-mail to bknisely@dnr.state.md.us. You will receive an e-mail confirmation that your RSVP was accepted. Passports must be presented and verified at the time your team registers at the finale site.

Consider camping and make it a weekend. Campsites are located at Tuckahoe State Park and at Martinak State Park just 25 minutes from Tuckahoe.
