Multi-Adventure I offers activities at each camps base site, other nearby state parks and private facilities. Each camp is based at one of the following parks and provides activities such as environmental education games, recreational activities, hiking, fishing, kayaking, arts & crafts, swimming, canoeing, archery, and campfires. Campers will also enjoy the Scales & Tales, and Junior Ranger program. Throughout these experiences, campers will learn how to Leave No Trace, and be responsible as they have fun in the outdoors.
TUCKAHOE STATE PARK is located on Maryland’s Eastern Shore on the border of Queen Anne’s and Caroline counties, near Denton, Maryland. The activities specialized at Tuckahoe are horseback riding, a day trip to Assateague State Park for swimming, body boarding and observing the wild ponies, a boat cruise on the Chesapeake Bay featuring “It’s a Crabs’ Life” program, and participation in a confidence course with high and low elements.Dates: June 23 - June 27
POCOMOKE STATE PARK is located on the lower Eastern Shore in Worcester County, Maryland. Pocomoke is known for Loblolly Pines and Cypress Swamps, campers will enjoy kayaking along the river and swamp, as well as participate in a day of horseback riding and test their skills on a high and low elements ropes course. There will also be a day trip to Assateague State Park for swimming, body boarding and observing the wild ponies.

ROCKY GAP STATE PARK is located in Allegany County near Cumberland. Activities include swimming, canoeing and fishing @ beautiful Lake Habeeb. Campers will travel to Cedar Ridge Adventures ropes course and also observe a program entitled “Bats, Bugs, and Boxes.” This camp also features a morning trail ride on horseback along Green Ridge State Forest.

In addition to routine camp activities such as swimming, hiking, arts & crafts, environmental education games, canoeing, archery, campfire programs and Scales & Tales. Campers will be able to participate in specialized day trips as described below. Throughout these experiences, campers will learn how to Leave No Trace, and be responsible as they have fun in the outdoors.

NORTHERN MARYLAND ADVENTURE will be based at Susquehanna State Park located near Havre de Grace in Harford County. Northern Maryland Adventure will feature a day of outdoor rock climbing at Rocks State Park, tubing down Deer Creek, swimming at the Hammerman Beach area of Gunpowder Falls State Park, kayaking along the Gunpowder River, hiking to observe Kilgore Falls, and a cruise on the skipjack “MARTHA LEWIS”.

WESTERN MARYLAND ADVENTURE is back by popular demand and based at a new park. This camp will be located at New Germany State Park in Garrett County Maryland. Activities include rock climbing/ rappelling, a day trip to Meadow Mountain ropes course, and a day trip Kayaking or Canoeing on the Savage reservoir.

Multi-Adventure III will hold camps at New Germany State Park, Susquehanna State Park, Tuckahoe State Park, Rocky Gap State Park, Pocomoke State Park and Assateague State Park. Campers will also have a chance to participate in specialized day trips described below Throughout the week campers will learn Leave No Trace and be responsible for their surrounding while having fun in the great outdoors.
WESTERN MD FISHING New Germany State Park located in Garrett County will host this week of fishing camp. This camp’s focus is fishing in freshwater streams and rivers as well as from a canoe. Campers will have an opportunity to “catch and release” fish on the Piney reservoir, fish along the banks of the Potomac River, the Casselman River, and fishing from a canoe on the Savage River Reservoir. There will be two days we will keep our catch and include a fish fry for dinner. This camp will also participate at a local ropes course.Dates: June 23- June 27

FISHING @ TUCKAHOE Tuckahoe State Park in Queen Anne’s County near Denton, Maryland will host this week of fishing camp. This camp’s focus is fishing – freshwater, and saltwater. Campers will have an opportunity to “catch and release” fish from the Pier at the Choptank River, pond fishing at Martinak State Park, and fishing on the Tuckahoe River. A day excursion on a charter boat fishing on the Chesapeake Bay with a fish fry of our catch wraps-up our week of fishing. Other activities include participation in a confidence course with high and low elements, a dusk kayaking paddle, and a day trip to Assateague State Park for swimming, surf fishing, body boarding and observing wild ponies

ROCKY GAP FUSION Our ever popular Rocky Gap “Fusion” based at Rocky Gap State Park near Cumberland, Maryland will offer campers a mixture of activities. A trail ride on horseback through the beautiful Green Ridge State Forest, canoeing on Lake Habeeb, a day trip to Cedar Ridge Adventure ropes course, and a day under the ground in a cave will give campers a week to remember. The program entitled Bats, Bug, and Boxes will also be featured.

LOWER SHORE SPECIALTY @ POCOMOKE this camp was so popular last year we will be returning again to the lower Eastern Shore of Maryland where the loblolly pines meet the cypress swamp. This camp will have the opportunity to participate in a day of catamaran sailing along the bay and swimming at Assateague Island, a day of horseback riding and participation in the high and low elements of a ropes course, as well as a day kayaking down the Pocomoke River to explore the cypress swamps and shoreline.

WATER SPORTS SURFS UP! Our ever popular Water Sports Camp returns to Assateague State Park, located near Ocean City, Maryland for a week of water related recreation. Campers will participate in surfing, swimming, body boarding, catamaran sailing and surf fishing in the Atlantic Ocean as well as the Assawoman Bay, along with kayaking in Sinepuxent Bay. Campers will also take an eco-cruise aboard the boat “Discovery,” which travels from Ocean City to Assateague. The Naturalist on board provides information that regards the unique coastal eco-system. During the week there are many opportunities to observe the wild ponies and other inhabitants on the island.

Campers will also participate in specialized day trips as described below.
EXPLORATION @ BIG RUN This experience will be offered at Big Run in Garrett County camping in an undeveloped area. Activities include Class IV white water rafting, paddling the Savage Reservoir, exploring and orienteering the beautiful mountainside and mountain biking at New Germany or Big Run State Park. This camp has 2 nights of primitive cooking scheduled. This camp will also participate at a local ropes course.

EXTREME @ SWALLOW FALLS This camp will be based at Western Maryland’s Swallow Falls State Park in Oakland, Maryland which contains some of Maryland’s most breathtaking scenery. Campers will hike to Muddy Creek Falls, a crashing 53-foot waterfall. This week offers three high impact activities that will leave campers with lots of stories to tell. This five day adventure will give campers an opportunity to explore an underground cave, learn the proper way to maneuver a raft through class IV white water rapids, and rock climbing/rappelling in an outdoor setting. This is by far one of our most popular camps because of the variety of activities that you can participate in and the challenge factor. Bring an extra pair of clothing (shirt & long pants) that you don’t mind getting dirty, and a headlamp for caving. DUE TO THE 4TH OF JULY THIS CAMP WILL BE DEPARTING 2 HOURS EARLY. ALL PICK UP TIMES WILL BE 2 HOURS EARLIER

HIKING the APPALACHIAN TRAIL @ GREENBRIER located in Western Maryland near Frederick. This camp is geared toward the avid outdoors person who is capable of hiking 5-6 miles a day along the Appalachian Trail in Maryland. Camp will start at Greenbrier State Park where the campers will spend Monday night. On Tuesday the campers will hike from Greenbrier State Park 5 miles to Annapolis Rock where they will stay the night in a primitive campsite off the Appalachian Trail and enjoy a night of primitive cooking. Campers will awake Wednesday and hike to Annapolis Rock, at arrival will participate in a day of rock climbing. When finished climbing, campers will then hike down the Thurston Griggs Trail to the vans that will transport them back to Greenbrier State Park for swimming in the lake. Campers will then travel to Harpers Ferry on Thursday for a day of tubing down the Potomac River.

OFF ROAD BIKING AT TUCKAHOE STATE PARK located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland near Denton. This camp will participate in two days of biking through the trails of Tuckahoe State Park. A group and individual competition will be held to better test their skills and to give campers additional challenges. Campers will also take part in a challenge course with both low and high elements as well as a day trip to Assateague Island State Park for a day of swimming and body boarding. Campers will also have the opportunity to view the wild ponies and other wildlife on the island.

EXTREME @ NEW GERMANY The second week of Extreme Camp will be based at New Germany State Park, located in Garrett County, Maryland. Campers will be able to canoe and swim at the beautiful lake. FISH ’N’ RIDE AT CEDARVILLE located in Charles County in Southern Maryland. This camp will participate in a day of kayaking at Wayson’s Corner, a day trip to Great Falls National Park and the C&O Canal for a day bike ride. Campers will also take part in a canoe and marshland tour by the Maryland Conservation Corps and swimming at Sandy Point State Park. Campers will end the week with a trip on a charter boat for fishing on the Bay, where we keep our catch and have a fish fry for dinner.

The Counselor-In-Training Program is offered in the Multi-Adventure I and II camps. Participants acquire practical experience working in a camp setting under the direction of the camp staff. Counselors in Training participate in all activities of the camps.Dates:
