Hazards/Restrictions All paddlers should understand that river conditions vary depending on weather conditions and caution should always be exercised. PFD's are required and paddlers are encouraged to wear them at all times. Prior to beginning a trip call for weather predictions.
Potable Water All water in the lake should be treated and filtered. Drinking water is available in the bathhouse by the lake pavilion.
Natural Features Tuckahoe Lake offers an opportunity to see a variety of wildlife. Canada geese, osprey, turtles and a variety of amphibians are often sited. Songbirds are also prevalent.
Boat Rentals Canoes and kayaks can be rented daily through the park office. Guide services are available for trips below the dam. These trips are scheduled in advance. You can obtain information by contacting Amphibious Horizons, 1-888-I-LUV-SUN, or Tidewater Kayaks, 410-814-3284.
