Maryland Charity Campaign
Dear Colleagues:
I On September 13th, Governor Martin O’Malley, Lt. Governor Anthony G. Brown and
Assistant Maryland Charity Campaign Chair Thomas E. Perez, kicked off The
Maryland Charity Campaign (MCC). The theme for this year is, “Together We
Make a World of Difference Right Here in Maryland.”
The Maryland Charity Campaign is an opportunity to give back to our communities
by contributing to the charity of your choice. Because donating through MCC
helps keep fundraising and administrative costs below 25 percent, the majority
of our contributions go directly to those in need -- many of whom are right here
in Maryland. The charities listed provide a host of services to children, the
elderly, victims of crisis, and environmental challenges – within our own
communities.
I am incredibly appreciative of your dedication to our agency and Maryland’s
natural resources, and I hope you will show the same dedication and spirit by
joining me in contributing to this year’s Maryland Charity Campaign. You can
choose a one time donation or spread your gift throughout the year by payroll
deduction. Either way, together we really can make a difference.
As the statewide campaign continues, please expect follow up communication from
DNR’s MCC Coordinator Betty Ann Blanchard – and please feel free to call Betty
at (410) 260-8829 with any questions you may have.
Thanks in advance for your consideration.
John
