National Trails Day – Patapsco Valley State Park
On June 4, 2011, Patapsco Valley State Park held a National Trails Day event in the McKeldin area of the park and it was sponsored by REI and the Friends of Patapsco Valley and Heritage Greenway. There were hundreds of volunteers divided up into various crews doing lots and lots of trail work, invasive plant removal, trail marking etc., etc. This group's activity was removal of garlic mustard, an invasive plant. Over 92 lbs was collected!!
