The Department of Natural Resources Maryland Park Service provides exciting recreation activities for residents and visitors to Maryland. State parks and forests offer youths and adults of all skill levels a chance to experience first-hand Maryland's vast resources while hiking and cycling our scenic trails, paddling canoes and kayaks along historic waterways or rock climbing in some of the state's most breathtaking public lands.

New state park and forest trail guides are available, featuring high quality topographic maps and wildlife, fishing and camping opportunities across the state.


2008 Maryland State Park Pass The 2008 Maryland Park Service Passport can be purchased for $75 for Maryland residents or for $100 for out-of-state residents. Purchase the Passport on-line through this website.

The pass offers: free day-use entry for everyone in the vehicle (up to 9 people) to Maryland's state parks and Cedarville State Forest; free boat launching at most facilities; and a 10 percent discount on state-operated concessions and boat rentals. For parks with honor box systems, the pass covers entry service charges. These passes are valid through December 31, 2008.
